Hok nghĩ là Van lại đc đóng film này vì trg truyện, vai ng đẹp đc miêu tả là 1 ng có nét đẹp dịu dàng vs mái tóc vàng và khuôn mặt vs nụ cười thánh thiện... Mà mấy cái điểm chủ chốt của nhân vật thì chẳng tìm thấy khớp chỗ nào vs Van hết (đẹp hoang dại, tóc đen, lại hok có đc cái kiủ cười thánh thiện và tính dịu dàng nữa). Van hợp vs những vai mạnh mẽ, dễ thương và sôi động như trg High skul hơn...
PS: Alex, sau Robert Pattinson thì Alex là tình iu thứ 2(pạn này thích fong cách của những ng đóng mác xuất thân từ vương quốc anh - vô cùng wí tộc)

Alex’s interviewed in the latest issue of the French One Magazine. I translated it in English for you.

This photo is from his first professionel photoshoot. The young actor, just 14 then, was still searching for his first filmrole. The waiting didn’t take long. Just a year later he was picked out of hundreds of teenagers to play the role of Alex Rider in Stormbreaker

After Stormbreaker, Alex will be seen again on the white screen, this time for the movie Beastly. Which he plays in together Vanessa Hudgens. The English comedian is looking forward to play the beast in this new movie, inspired by the fairytale Beauty and the Beast.

How does the movie differ from the fairytale?
Beastly is the modern version of the fairytale that happens in New York.
In the fairytale it’s mainly about the adventures of Belle, in Beastly it is mainly about my character, Kyle Kingson, a boy who is extremely obsessed about his looks. One day he reacts ridiciously at girl who looks like a gothic, Kendra, played by Mary-Kate Olsen.
In real she is a witch who transforms him into a monster. And he will stay that way unless he meets a girl who truely loves him, despite his looks.
This seems impossible, but than he meets Linda, a girl played by Vanessa Hudgens.

How did you react when you saw yourself with Beast Make-up?
It was a hard time. It took hours before the make-up was applied. They waited until the last moment before they showed me to Vanessa.
The director didn’t want her to see me before we started filming, so her reaction would be as real as possible.
I think she wanted to run when she saw me! [laughs]

What in this role appealed to you?
I did some modelling, and was asked to do some roles of pretty boys, if you get what I mean. But with this character I want to show that I can do more then just pretty roles.
In Beastly you can´t see my real face, only a few minutes.
The rest of the movie my face is hidden behind a mask of a beast. It makes me feel free.

What can you tell us about Vanessa Hudgens?
She has a lot of talent. She knows she still has to prove herself to the people who still see her as the actress in musicals. But I think she will blow them all of their socks with her next projects. She is an actress who people have to trust in the future.

Almost ininvitable there were rumours about you to being a couple…
Really? I’m flattered, she is a very pretty young lady. But I don’t think it’s smart for me to go after someone else’s girlfriend. I don’t think Zac Efron would like that.
The relation between me and Vanessa is completely business.

Which memories do you have from Stormbreaker?
I’m so ashamed of myself in this movie. I was 15 and didn’t know anything about acting. I was just running around and did what I was told to do. I don’t see myself like that anymore.
Fortunatly I’ve improved since then and I hope to get a change to prove myself in Beastly.

Do you think you will be as famous as Zac Efron or Robert Pattinson after the release in 2010?
No, I don’t think I’m in the same category as them. I don’t feel the need to reach the same level of fame. I think they can’t put a feet out of their house without being jumped. That’s just scary!

What does the tattoo on your wrist mean? The one with ER?
It’s a tribute to the English queen, I’m a big fan. The initials stand for Elizabeth Royal and are an expression of my patriotism. I have big admiration for the royal family. I also love tatoos. I already have six and I’m far from done! [laughs]

In what way do you look like your character?
I’m not a vain as Kyle, but I do live in an envirement where looks are seen as something important.
With these kinds of movies, or with modelling you spend a lot of time on your looks. And if you do that you forget that true beauty is inside you. This is what happens to my character.
In the end the movie shows you how he is going to respect others and himself. Kyle makes us remember that we have to be more open and more tolerant.

Do you think you live a succesful life?
Yes, I feel very happy. How many guys of 18 get the change to travel to the most gorgeous towns, and get to stay with two beautiful girls like Vanessa and Mary-Kate in a hotel? I’m very lucky! [laughs]

Vampires and werewolves may be hot this year, as New Moon's weekend take proved, but what will be hot next year? CBS Films hopes it will be beasts, as in Beastly, as in a modern-day take on the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale.

Beastly, adapted from the novel of the same name, stars Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Hudgens and Neil Patrick Harris, the last of whom unfortunately can't be seen in the just-released teaser trailer.

Move over, Robert Pattinson. Gorgeous Alex Pettyfer is the latest of the new generation of British talent set to conquer Hollywood.

Pettyfer, 19, co-stars with the beautiful Vanessa Hudgens, 20, in the upcoming film, Beastly. In the latest adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, Alex plays Kyle, a popular kid who callously dumps his date Kendra (played by Mary-Kate Olsen).

Kendra turns out to be a witch who puts a curse on Pettyfer, causing him to become everything he detests: a physically grotesque beast who must find true love in order to break the spell.

Alex, a lanky model who previously starred in Stormbreaker (2006), says the physical transformation was difficult.

"I went through a couple of challenges physically," Pettyfer tells HitFix. "I had to shave all of my goldilocks [hair], which was one of the hardest things for me mentally. And I put on about 12 to 15 pounds [of muscle], because I'm actually quite a skinny guy."

Why was Alex so concerned about cutting his hair? "When you have an image and you have been with that image for quite some while, to change how you look can knock a person's confidence," Pettyfer recalls. Alex Pettyfer shirtless photo by KaiZFeng

He adds: "It really affected me because as soon as I shaved my head it kind of put me in this weird place [the same place Kyle is in after his transformation], which really helped me with the role a lot. It kind of is a challenge because you are fighting personally with your own problems off-set, but then on-set you have a great resource to go to."

In addition to lifting weights and consuming a lot more calories to gain weight, Alex also endured up to six hours a day of makeup application to transform into the beastly Kyle.

"It's because it's mostly from the beast's perspective," Pettyfer says. "You're going through a journey with Kyle. And you go on this wild ride where Kyle kind of has to open his eyes see the beauty of life and fall in love with himself and who he is, and that amounts to falling in love with others."

Beastly opens in July, 2010.
